Services

Fees and Billing
- Fees for laboratory tests are set by the Government of Barbados under the Agricultural, Diagnostic and Other Services (Fees) Act 2005 (S.I. 2005 No. 116).
- The fees list is reviewed periodically by the Government of Barbados and is subject to change without prior notice.
- Clients will be billed for services rendered by Veterinary Services Laboratory.
- Fees do not apply to tests on specimens from farm animals (cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits) or poultry.
- Tests on specimens originating from companion animals, horses and exotic animals will incur fees.
- Fees are charged for some Food Microbiology tests.
- Payments may be made in cash or by cheque at the reception desk in the Veterinary Services Administration building.
- All cheques should be made payable to “The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development”.
